Shri Eklingji Trust
Aims & Objectives
This Trust was instituted with the purpose of providing for:
- The worship of the presiding deity of Shri Eklingji temple.
- The worship of all other deities, which have been worshipped through the agency of the Shri Eklingji temple.
- Celebrate all religious functions as per tradition of the respective temples under the trust.
The protection of Shri Eklingji and of its chief deity namely Shri Parmeshwaraji Maharaj, the performing of pujas (prayer ceremonies), and maintaining the customary mores of worship are the covenants of this Trust.
Shri Parmeshwaraji Maharaj, the principal deity of Shri Eklingji Temple is the personal family deity of the Maharanas of Mewar. Founded by Bapa Rawal in 734 AD, the shrine itself is as old and ancient as the State of Mewar.
